Balance is the amount of cash in your trading account from deposits and closed trades, before any open positions are counted. It only changes when a trade is closed, a deposit is made, or a withdrawal is taken. While trades are open, equity — not balance — reflects your true account value.
Forex Term
Balance
The cash in your account not counting open trade profit or loss.
Example
A $1,000 balance stays $1,000 until you close a trade, even if open positions swing in value.
