Requote

When a broker offers a new price instead of filling your order.

A requote happens when the price moves between the moment you click and the moment the broker receives your order, so instead of filling it the broker offers a new price to accept or reject. Frequent requotes slow you down and are a sign of poorer execution.

Example

You click buy at 1.1050 but get a requote asking you to accept 1.1053 instead.
