The most traded pairs, all involving the US dollar.

Major pairs are the most traded currency pairs, all involving the US dollar — such as EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY, and USD/CHF. They have the highest liquidity, the tightest spreads, and are where most beginners start because they tend to move in a relatively orderly way.

Example

EUR/USD is the most traded major pair and usually has the tightest spread.
